Jerel L. Dennis, 74, beloved husband of Ruth A. Dennis, passed away on January 28, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on November 10, 1951, to the late Vernon Ralph Dennis, Sr., and Norma Taylor Dennis in Franklin County. In addition to Ruth, his loving wife of 15 years, Jerel is survived by his stepson Eric Johns and his wife Samantha, his brother Vernon Ralph Dennis, Jr., and his wife Nancy. He is also survived by aunts, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Services were held at St. Luke on Monday, February 2, 2026, preceded by visitation in the church. Burial took place at Lawrenceburg Cemetery the same day. Donations may be made to the Jessamine County Animal Shelter in honor of Jerel’s beloved dogs Onyx, Shawn, and Thumper. Expressions of sympathy are also suggested to the St. Luke Capital Campaign in Jerel’s memory.

Edna Marie Reinert, mother of parishioner Fred Reinert, passed away in Lexington, KY, on January 31, 2026. Her visitation and funeral Mass were held at Pax Christi on February 11, 2026.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
